Dr. Riley back on campus and in Ottawa

As many of you know, Dr. Riley is back on campus, and resumed his duties as President of StFX University.  Having an opportunity to speak with him at Homecoming, you can really see how far he has come in his recovery and the tremendous support he is receiving from the campus community.

Click here to watch a video shared at the Welcome Home Dinner, of our President greeting thousands of first year students and parents.

It is great to see Dr. Riley back in his element, and the Chapter looks forward to welcoming him to Ottawa for the President's Reception on Tuesday, October 16, at Social.

SAINT - Students and Alumni In Touch

One of the most common queries directed at this, and most, alumni chapters, are from new and soon to be graduates seeking assistance with employment, or developing those professional skills that make them an asset to the workforce.

If you fall into that category, this is the program for you!

SAINT (Students and Alumni IN Touch) is an email driven career mentoring program established by StFX alumni in the late 90’s. The program matches 3rd and 4th year students with alumni employed in the students chosen field of study.

Once matched, the student has an invaluable opportunity to ask questions, seek advice and guidance, and glean the expertise of a seasoned professional.  For the Mentor, it is a great way to give back, to make a difference in the life of a student and stay in touch with the pulse of the campus (and it doesn't involve a huge time commitment!).

This is a fantastic resource for both senior students trying to make the transition from student to alumni, and for new graduates settling in new communities to start new lives.

Students, or recent grads, click here to sign up as a SAINT student

For more information about the SAINT program, please contact the program coordinator, Mary Murphy- Fauteux ‘82, at Saint_alumni@stfx.ca.
